These two posters are my final outcomes. They were created using Adobe Illustrator (mainly) and Adobe Photoshop (for effects).
How I made this:
- Used ‘Mom’s Typewriter’ font (from dafont.com) as the font for the title and phrase.
- Included the cast and crew at the bottom to make it look professional (SF Movie Poster font from dafont.com)
- Used a dark grey background for the black TV box to show.
- I found an image of a static screen on Google then created an image of an alien in the style of Saul Bass. I decreased the opacity of the alien’s face to make it seem like its part of the screen.
Changes I made from the first draft:
- Changed the character fonts.
- Included Cast and Crew credits at the bottom of the poster to make it look more professional.
- Changed the curves to make the poster look darker.
- Added vignette and used the ‘Dodge’ tool to create shadows and highlights, emphasising that it is a horror movie.
